Finally. 20 °C in the shades, bright sunshine and a gentle breeze impelled us out of our musty homes – destination: Donautal. This famous area embedded in the Swabian Jura resulted from river Danube cutting her way through the ground leaving a beautiful paradise for motorbikes – and climbers. Which has a great appeal to Ricky .. So we teamed up with friend of her and his girlfriend and hit the rocks. We started with an easy 4 pitch tour to rappel down a different wall for having a coffee (Evernew stove test! Need windscreen soon ..), bread, cheese and two sorts of cake. We stayed at that wall for the rest of the day as it had some interesting single pitch routes.
